Land Acknowledgement
The ICAC respectfully acknowledges that we are located on the traditional land of the Anishinabewaki, Attiwonderonk (Neutral), Haudenosaunee, and Mississauga peoples. We would like to recognize the Indigenous communities in close proximity to the town of Ingersoll: Chippewas of The Thames First Nation; Oneida Nation of The Thames; Munsee-Delaware Nation; Mississaugas of New Credit First Nation; and Six Nations of The Grand. We also acknowledge the many other Indigenous peoples whose names were not recorded, and who have travelled through and cared for this territory. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work, live and create on this land with all Nations, and by doing so, give our respect to its first inhabitants.
