Dates and Times of course: Tuesday Evenings Nov 8 – Dec 13, 2022, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

The class will start with a refresh of the basic tools, their use and application. Through instructor examples, class assignments and constructive image reviews, students will develop a better understanding of the techniques and thought processes that helps to build a better image that can also tell a more complete story. This course will emphasize hands-on work with the camera in order to produce better images in a workshop setting.

Pre-requisites: Basic 101, ( Students must be familiar with the basics of Manual operation such as Aperture, Shutter Speed selection and ISO selection).

Students will develop their own camera skills by applying them to guided theme shooting projects and producing more appealing images.

Classes will include the following segments:
A) lecture with examples.
B) Hands-on demonstration.
C) Student shooting in and around class locations.
D) Review of selected images and improvement suggestions.

Students should have a camera with some manual control,
Optional equipment will include:
Tripod, Flash, Editing Software

ICAC Class Cancellation Policy

At ICAC, we try to provide you with high-quality instructors, classes, workshops, and facilities.

Our instructors must be booked well in advance and they begin planning and purchasing materials in preparation for the class.

We have a “no refund” policy for our classes and workshops. We understand that there are occasionally circumstances that require registrants to change their plans to attend a class. If we have a waiting list, we will try to assist you to find someone to take your place. However, unless there are extenuating circumstances, approved by the executive of the Board, your monies for the class will not be refunded.

If we do not have the minimum number of registrants, then the class will be cancelled. Often, we are required to make this decision early, so that our members have not invested money into materials. If a class is cancelled, a refund will be issued.
