Is a Woodstock based photographer, mainly self taught. Taking digital photographs and utilizing computer editing and resources has been a focus for twenty years. Over the last four years the focus has shifted to collodion
tintype photography. Example works have been selected for showing at four different juried exhibits at St. Thomas art gallery.
I am interested in digital photography with an emphasis on
portraiture. I create work that I hope will spark someone’s interest
and curiosity. Over the past four years I have turned to collodion
wetplate photography which is an early photographic process developed
by Frederick Scott Archer in 1851. It is a completely mechanical
process which creates one of a kind photos that have their own
particular aesthetic and, handled carefully, lasts for hundreds of years.
