Woodstock, ON –
Starting August 3rd, Oxford County’s own Sue Goossens will be presenting her “Bridges of Oxford County” watercolours collection at the Tillsonburg Station Arts Centre. Featuring watercolours of 25 bridges found throughout Oxford County, Sue’s Bridges of Oxford County exhibit will run until September 5th and will kick off on Friday, August 3rd with an opening reception from 7pm – 9pm.
“Throughout the past year I have wandered throughout Oxford County searching out scenes featuring unique bridges”, shares Sue Goossens. “My travels took me down gravel roads, through fields and I occasionally climbed the banks of rivers and creeks from Tillsonburg and Otterville to Thamesford and Canning and many places in between. My photographs have resulted in twenty-five original watercolours focusing on the ‘Bridges of Oxford County’”.
Sue, who lives just outside of Otterville, has become well recognized for her distinct style which combines a fluid mix of rich saturated colour with the intricacies of nature. She has successfully participated in many juried exhibitions, solo, and group shows throughout Ontario. Tillsonburg’s Station Arts Centre features the works of local and regional artists and admission to the Changing Exhibit Gallery is always free.
From Hwy 401, take the Hwy 19 South exit to Tillsonburg and turn right onto Bridge Street. The Tillsonburg Station Arts Centre is located at 41 Bridge Street West.
