VISUAL ELEMENTS JURIED EXHIBITION 2018

Visual Elements Application 2018- WAG Visual Elements 60 Call for Submissions

Woodstock Art Gallery is celebrating 60 years of the Visual Elements Juried show which is open to all artists from Southern Ontario. Many of ICAC`s members have been included in this show over the years. This year during July and August Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre and the Station Arts Centre, Tillsonburg will be part of this celebration by showing some of the chosen art in our galleries at the same time.

We are encouraging our members to enter the Visual Elements 2018 juried show. Entry forms will be available at the Centre in April. One or 2 works may be entered by digital images and ICAC will assist artists with this photography during April. Please watch your Friendly Friday for dates of the photography sessions.

All work entered must be original, completed within the last 18 months and not have been on display in any of the 3 galleries before. There is an entry fee of $10. per work. Artists will receive $50. for each work chosen to be in the show. There are prizes for juror`s and public choices.

THIS SHOW IS OPEN TO ARTISTS WORKING IN ANY MEDIUM !

Photographs will be taken by Tracy Robinson at the Centre on Friday, May 11th & Saturday, May 12th.
Photographs can either be emailed directly to the artist or can be stored on a USB provided by the artist at the time of the photography session. USB’s will be available to be picked up at the ICAC office on Monday, May 14th.
Large flat items, such as paintings must be properly wired ahead of time for hanging. Appropriate gallery hardware must be used. Do not use saw tooth hardware.
Quilts and wall hangings must be prepared with the appropriate sleeve, wooden slat, and hooks, and should be wrinkle-free prior to the photo shoot. If assistance is required to hang your piece, you must arrange for your own personal volunteer to help you hang it. You may need to come in early to hang your piece. If your piece requires extra time to photograph, you may need to leave it at the Centre and pick it up at the end of the day.
Thank you to Tracy for providing this valuable service to the Centre and its members.
Please call the Centre at 519-485-4691 to make an appointment.
