Rug Hooking Classes

Traditional Rug Hooking – Beginners
Traditional Rug Hooking is done by pulling cut strips of wool material through a backing to make a rug. In class we will make a 5” hot mat. We will explore several methods of
drawing the pattern on linen, cutting and hooking the material, and finishing the mat. The student will have a choice of design and colour. Students will need small scissors for snipping, also a rug hook and hoop at least 10” in diameter. These can be bought or borrowed for use in class.
